What is the Galleri Test?

The Galleri test allows you to be proactive about your health. This unique blood test works by detecting DNA fragments shed by cancer cells into the bloodstream, identifying a "signal" common to over 50 types of cancer. The Galleri test can also predict the tissue or organ where the cancer signal originates, aiding in further diagnostic evaluation. The Galleri test is not a diagnostic tool and should be used alongside standard cancer screenings.

Who is the Galleri Test For?

The Galleri test is intended for adults at an increased risk for cancer, including individuals aged 50 and older, those with diabetes, a body mass index (BMI) over 30, or a history of current or past smoking. Adults over 50 are up to 13 times more likely to develop cancer compared to those under 50. The Galleri test is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, 21 years of age or younger, or currently undergoing active cancer treatment.

50+ Cancers Tested

Today, doctors test individually for 5 specific cancers— colorectal, lung, breast, cervical, and prostate. While these single-cancer screenings play an important role in detecting 5 specific cancers today, nearly 70% of cancers have no recommended screening tests. The Galleri test screens for multiple cancers including Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma, Ampulla of Vater, Anus, Appendix, Carcinoma, Bile Ducts, Bladder, Urinary, Bone, Breast, Cervix, Colon and Rectum, Esophagus and Esophagogastric Junction, Gallbladder, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor, Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasms, Kidney, Larynx, Leukemia, Liver, Lung, Lymphoma (Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin), Melanoma of the Skin, Merkel Cell Carcinoma, Mesothelioma, Nasal Cavity and Paranasal Sinuses, Nasopharynx, Neuroendocrine Tumors, Oral Cavity, Oropharynx, Ovary, Fallopian Tube and Primary Peritoneum, Pancreas, Penis, Plasma Cell Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disorders, Prostate, Small Intestine, Soft Tissue Sarcoma, Stomach, Testis, Ureter, Renal Pelvis, Uterus, Vagina, and Vulva.
